Clinical efficacy trial of AmaweileTM (compound vitamin B solution) on growing chickens

published time: 2025-04-01 09:28:59

Heat stress significantly affects the feeding and behavior of chicken flocks, leading to varying degrees of decline in production performance. In order to control heat stress, we conducted experimental observations on a compound vitamin B solution (product name: Amaweile, produced by Wuhan Liyao) in growing chicken flocks. The product showed significant effects in promoting feeding and improving production performance. The experimental method and results are reported as follows.

二、Protocol:

1、Experimental arrangement

(1)This experiment was conducted at a chicken breeding farm in Gong'an County, Hubei Province. The cage structure of the chicken farm is a standard "three column, four layer, 19 group herringbone" arrangement, with conventional mechanical feeding, manure cleaning, and wet curtain ventilation (wet curtain not in use) system. Refer to Figure 1 for details.

(2) Medication administration time: July 28-30, 2023, a total of 3 days.

(3) During the medication period, the local weather is alternately sunny and rainy, with temperatures ranging from 30-33 ℃. The temperature inside the chicken coop is about 28-30 ℃, with a humidity of over 70%, and the body feels stuffy and hot.

(4) The experimental chicken flock consists of 34 day old "Hailan Grey" egg chicks.

2、Experimental grouping and medication plan

According to the different dosages of Amaweile administered, the experimental chickens were randomly divided into 5 groups. Each group consists of 1188 growing chickens. Experiment 1-4 groups were treated with medication for 3 days, while the control group was not treated. The production conditions of each group are consistent. See Table 1 for details.

3、outcome measures

(1)The stress behavior of chicken flocks (such as opening their mouths to breathe, spreading their wings, restlessness, closing their eyes to catch their breath, etc.)

(2) Diet and weight: food consumption for 3 days of medication

(3) Chicken weight

(4) Other: Production indicators: incidence of oral inflammation after 3 days of medication; Death rate, etc.

Figure 2 Operation and Management during the Experimental Period

4、Management during the trial period (Figure 2)

(1) On the day before the experiment, make preparations:

a) Chicken flock grouping: Ensure that the experimental group has 11 chicks per small cage (neither too many nor too few). And mark the experimental group on the outer edge of the chicken cage.

b) 10L water bucket: Prepare 4 water buckets with a capacity of 10L and accurately mark the 10L mark after filling;

c) Prepare the medication Amagastric Le and prepare a measuring tool (cylinder) with precise markings;

d) Explain the key points and precautions of the experimental operation to all participants, and do a good job in personnel division.

(2) During the experiment, the period from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (the hottest time) was the artificial watering period, which also facilitated the observation of the status of the experimental chicken flock. Ensure even supply of water to the entire group while drinking.

(3) Before manually adding water every day, lift the water tank float and cut off the external water supply. When the water level in the tank drops to a certain level, add the prepared medicine one by one. Until each group has consumed 3 barrels (30L) of liquid medicine per day, then put down the water tank float and connect to the external water supply source.

(4) After the experiment is completed (arriving at 5:30 am on July 31st), collect and weigh the remaining materials of the experimental group and weigh the chickens in each experimental group before feeding at 7:00 am.

(5) Surplus weighing: The purpose is to compare the differences in material consumption among different groups. Collect the remaining materials from each group of material troughs after 3 days and weigh them to obtain the consumption of each group (the more left, the less eaten; conversely, the less left, the more eaten).

(6) Weight measurement: The purpose is to compare the growth status of chickens in each experimental group. Therefore, for specific weighing, the weight of chickens in 6 small cages (3 small cages on each side) should be randomly selected from each experimental group.

5、data processing

(1) Archive all data and original documents such as images and videos, and verify their authenticity.

 (2)   Data summary and comparison.

From Table 2, it can be seen that in the case of uniform feed supply and continuous feeding in the feeding trough, the more leftover feed there is, the less food the chicken flock eats; On the contrary, the less leftover food, the more food the chicken flock eats. From the comparison of residual materials between the four experimental groups and one blank control group mentioned above, it can be concluded that:

(1) The feed intake of all four treatment groups was higher than that of the control group, indicating that Amaweile does indeed have a promoting effect on food intake, and the effect is significant;

(2) Further comparing the four treatment groups, it was found that there is a clear "dose-response relationship" with the use of Amagastric acid, meaning that the higher the dosage, the better the effect of promoting feeding.

2、Amawei Le has a growth promoting effect. See Table 3 for details.

From the statistical comparison of the weight measurement results of each group in Table 3, it can be seen that:

(1) The average weight of the chickens in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, indicating that Amagastric Le has a significant effect on promoting growth. For the growing chicken flock during the summer season, a certain dose of Amaweile can be used to promote feeding and growth.

(2) Comparing the data between different treatment groups, it can be seen that the higher the concentration of Amagastric acid, the better the effect of promoting growth. Experiment group 1 (500ml per bottle mixed with 100L of water) showed the most significant effect, with a difference of 54g compared to the blank control group; The weights of groups 2, 3, and 4 were relatively similar, but compared with the blank control group without medication, the weight gain was also very significant, at least reaching 24g.

3. The effect of Amaweile on stress behavior in chicken flocks

(1) During this experiment, the temperature reached over 30 ℃ and the humidity was high. During the high temperature period every day, the experimental chicken flock will show varying degrees of mouth opening breathing, wing extension, etc. The differences in behavior between the groups are not significant and difficult to distinguish visually.

(2) During the 3-day trial period, there were no casualties or cases of obvious symptoms such as "stomatitis" in the entire chicken flock.

4、 Experimental Conclusion and Discussion

1. Conclusion:

(1) Wuhan Liyao's compound vitamin B solution (Amaweile) is used for growing chicken flocks and has a reliable effect on promoting feeding and improving growth. Within a certain range, the higher the concentration of Amabile, the better the effect of promoting feeding and growth.

(2) Taking into account both cost and effectiveness, it is recommended that the usage plan for Amaweile be as follows:

a) Each bottle is 500ml, mixed with 300L of water (for early growth chickens) -500L (for late growth chickens).

b) Therapeutic administration can be increased to 500ml per bottle, mixed with 100L of water.

c) Use continuously for 3 days.

2. Amaweile provides a safe, effective, and relatively inexpensive way to achieve weight standards for summer growing chicken flocks and promote overall uniformity of the flock.

The clinical effects of "Amaweile" on laying chickens, such as feed intake, egg production rate, egg weight, mortality rate, etc., still need further verification.
